SUSTAINABLE COTTON CULTIVATION:

Sustainability is key topic now for our generation and fashion and currently most of leading Brand are working for their own sustainability and as well as environment,
As many of Brand have publish their sustainability goal by 2020 or 2025 etc by using sustainable material in their product which will be going to hit sale floor in said year,
Knowing target year Brands have already started increasing their product share in sustainable material in one of big part of their product line is cotton, Currently many brand are using Better Cotton, Organic (BIO) Cotton, Cotton Made in Africa & REEL etc,
However sustainable cotton share in total cotton market is very less such as Organic Cotton is still at 1 or 1.5% of total cotton crop, and other cotton type are also not up to mark and available in such volume where Brands can succeed to achieve their sustainable goal,
In context of targeted year and current demand we need to focus on the following area as textile professional to ensure a smooth transaction toward sustainable material availability such as below

NON GMO Seed availability for Organic cotton cultivation

Utilizing virgin land for more sustainable cultivation by reducing chemically produced pesticide uses and promote natural pesticide or fertilizer
further extension required in Better Cotton cultivation to fulfill requirements
Ministry of Agriculture take part to promote Sustainable cultivation
